| When We Fall in Love is a new show I have created with Kerstin Brix. It is a fun cabaret style evening with many musical, film, and pop songs about love...including, of course, that special song from the film Sleepless in Seattle...When I Fall In Love! The Premiere of the show was a huge success on the 17th and 18th of March, 2000, and you can see the newspaper critics of the show under "My Press" on "My Press 5". The show is with German dialogue, but can also be done in English. The songs are in English, but when it is performed in Germany there are also many songs in German. | Kerstin and I are two
Little Girls from Little Rock
who meet each other by chance in the train station. We
both have a lot to talk about concerning one theme and
that is...Men!!!
Kerstin has had enough of men (I Hate Men from the musical Kiss Me Kate) but I, on the contrary am incurably romantic. The two of us tell each other our sad stories (You Don't Bring Me Flowers from Barbra Streisand, S.O.S. from Abba, I Know Him So Well from the musical Chess, etc.) and our happy stories (Makin Whoopee from the movie The Fabulous Baker Boys, The Perfect Year from the musical Sunset Boulevard, Bill and Can't Help Lovin' That Man from the musical Showboat, etc.) While telling each other our lovestories we also have fun and bring comedy into it (Find Out What They Like from the musical Ain't Misbehavin', Marry the Man Today from the musical Guys and Dolls, etc.) There is of course, also a moment where we are ready to pull out each others hair because of one man! The evening ends with hope and excitement for the next love to come!!! (Bring on the Man from the musical Jekyll & Hyde) |
